BLS Course Overview

The BLS (Basic Life Support) Class Online is designed for healthcare providers and first responders seeking to master the fundamental skills of lifesaving intervention during cardiac and respiratory emergencies. • Scene Safety & Initial Assessment – Ensuring responder safety and quick assessment of the victim.
• Recovery Position & Post-Resuscitation Care – Placing victims in a safe position after ROSC (return of spontaneous circulation).
• Hands-Only CPR – Compression-only CPR when breaths aren’t possible or practical.
• Two-Rescuer CPR – Coordinated effort for high-efficiency resuscitation.
• Pulse Checks & Breathing Assessment – When and how to check for breathing and a pulse effectively.
• Opioid-Related Emergencies – Recognizing and responding with naloxone when needed.
• Special Considerations – DNR orders, differences in hospital vs. out-of-hospital care.
